Control Solutions Ltd. was started in 1994, when business partners Claude Nobauer and Ross MacDonald (now both retired) had small families to support and needed their new business to prosper and succeed. Over 25 years later, not only is Control Solutions Ltd. still running but it is the largest independent controls contractor in British Columbia.
Chad Thomas, President, and Eddie McCool, CEO, have now taken ownership of CSL and are taking new initiatives and responsibility for growth and success. They and their team have great plans for Control Solutions Ltd. and will continue to develop all the services, while remaining a local independent company that you know and trust.

At Control Solutions Ltd. we know that the work on a building isn’t quite complete when you hand over the keys to the owner. With every building there is a lifetime of maintenance, renovations and surprises that inevitably come up.
Our technicians have extensive knowledge and technical skills in supplying, installing, and servicing a diverse range of HVAC equipment, DDC controls, electric controls, electronic controls and pneumatic controls. Our technicians are certified to service Automated Logic Controls (ALC), Distech Controls Inc., and Reliable Controls with experience in Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Trane, and Siemens building management systems just to name a few.
The backbone of our service team is our 24/7 support line. Construction Department:
The construction department is the longest standing department at Control Solutions Ltd. We have teams of system designers, graphic designers, project managers and electricians ready to help you with all your construction projects.
Control Solutions Ltd. has extensive experience working on broad, retail, government and residential projects. Most notably in 2018 our construction team worked on the Iqaluit International Airport. We managed to keep up with the staggering logistics of shipping supplies, transporting human beings to the Arctic. All while dealing with diesel combustion electricity and three months of total darkness. Our construction team is intelligent, tenacious and up for a challenge.

Special Projects Department:
Anyone who has worked on a building knows that the work is never done. Time and entropy take their toll on all structures, tenants move in and out, projects come up that need to be completed immediately and equipment wears out. Our special projects division is responsible for all projects with a quick turn around time. This Control Solutions Ltd. team is close knit, hard working, committed and talented.
The special projects department closes more jobs than both other departments combined. Trained to work with electric controls, electronic controls and pneumatic controls, our special projects team is skilled and competent.
